When travelling the Silk Road why not visit some silk worms! These were feasting on mulberry leaves in two rooms in a family’s home in Karakalpakstan, an autonomous desert republic in the northwest of Uzbekistan. We made an unplanned stop on route from Khiva to Bukhara and they were so welcoming and excited to show us their worms. Brilliant experience.
